This program provides a unique approach to coaching designed specifically for teachers. The focus is on the most important target for change – the student.
The program includes a full session of role-playing, supported by professional actors, providing an opportunity for “live” practice of what you have learned.
Instructors include Marcia Meislin, president of a leadership development and training consultancy; Chaya Abelsky of Triumphant Journeys and Elki Rosenfeld, long-time Torah educator.
Teachers who successfully complete the program will know how to:
- Ask questions that evoke a deeper level of insight and information.
- Make conversations with students more solution-focused, with an emphasis on clarifying issues and identifying action items. This will lead to greater clarity in teaching and enhanced student comprehension.
- Refocus attention to truly hear what is and isn’t being said and how to use this skill when working with students.
- Communicate effectively in “all directions”--up, down, and across organizational lines--to help improve decision-making, conflict resolution, and team building.
- Support students in setting their compass and life direction at an age-appropriate level
